...but I'm not the only one - still checking this forum, right?

Folks still playing the LCG? We've had scant pickings with just the Goblin Sneak so far, but there's a new cycle just around the corner, and maybe we'll see a little more Taint to flavour thing up. Here's hoping!

You are not the only one, Mark, but I doubt whether I'm much of one to talk.

Part of me still wants to make a full Spider Clan banner to match the official ones, but with the honeymoon in Hawai'i just before GenCon this year? Yeah, I have no easy way to get it to the show.

You're not the only one! I may have been a newbie (who only joined in Ivory)... but I still check back here every once in a while.

Are you guys playing the LCG? I've mainly been playing phoenix (with the occasional dalliance with Unicorn when I'm feeling masochistic), but I always make sure to run sneaks, if just to have some Shadowlands representation.

I am playing and running events for the LCG. I know Hinomura on here (Top Scorpion, 2017) is doing likewise.

Personally, I have been playing Dragon, but I have become simply frustrated with their lack of variance in design. Right now, the only path to victory is repeatedly "Bring out Niten Master. Win games." It feels strategically shallow for me, basically relying on a single powerful piece in every game, with the same mechanics to make them powerful, and just running other strategies to keep them out longer.

So I am switching to Unicorn. Then, at least, if I win, it will actually FEEL like I did something, and if I lose... well... I am playing Unicorn.

Yeah, i'm peeking here as on every other old forum. And i'm just watching as they vanish, one by one. Latest consumed by Void - Dojo of Lies and Kobune Port.

L5R LCG? Nope. There're much better and more enjoyable games to play (including L5R CCG or even Battle for Rokugan).

Kempy is like a ray of sunlight, bringing a smile to everyone's face.

Big fan of the LCG. Attended GenCon and Worlds last year, and did well at both of them...a little too well it turns out, because I was responsible for making the Role picks that got Scorpion first Seeker of Air then Seeker of Void, and they're currently head and shoulders the best deck around.

I'm not particularly interested in rehashing the CCG vs LCG argument - I play and love both, and recommend others give both (if possible, as it is obviously difficult to find product or opponents for the original CCG now) a try and make up their own minds. I would briefly mention though that the fiction, both online and in the Dynasty and Clan packs, has been excellent, and I highly recommend people keeping up with that, even if they don't want to play the LCG.

Still here. Playing the LCG. Keeping the jealous realm alive in digital form. Looking forward to more Shadowlands, and keep dreaming of a Spider Clan Coup in the new storyline. That Daisetsu fellow seems like the sort to make trouble ;)

This place is certainly livelier than the new Phoenix Forums... 'cause while you can lead a horse to water, you can't make 'em drink (I also think the Phoenix discord, which IFR to get into for a number of reasons, is a bit more sprightly)
