After six years of abortive attempts, Cielago is FINALLY making it to GenCon. I'm looking forward to putting some faces to names at the Dinner for Villains.

Besides that, what else should i put on my gencon bucket list?

Depends on what you're looking to get out of it. I would at least not miss the L5R Experience on Saturday.

There is apparently other stuff that goes at GenCon that's NOT Five Rings. This is my fifth year in a row, and I've yet to see it, though :P

Slightly more seriously...set aside some time to just wander the trade hall, and especially the Artist's area. There is always some wonderfully stunning stuff there. Plus you can meet Drew Baker and thank him for returning to L5R!

Mark

If you like lots of games, definitely make a point to set aside a day for something other than L5R. I did that on the Friday the one year I was there, and it was great.

I agree with Mark about making time to just wander the Exhibitor's Hall and Artist's Row. I spent a good couple of hours just wandering around looking at neat stuff, and I didn't even go for autographs from the artists.

My one regret was not getting over to the RPG area. I had a CCG tourney run long (because I actually made elims when I thought I'd scrub with what was basically what I could make from 6 packs) so I didn't get to the RPG I'd signed up for, and I never found my way there again. If I went again, I'd try and dedicate a day to an RPG session or two.

AEG's Big Game Night and L5R Experience are both must-attends.

Ultimately, its also all about spending time with friends. You're going to have a blast!
