the seven thunders are up, they aren't too much to look at for us spider but the set decks are in the same post with a few cards from evil portents and one from onyx revealed

just though people might find it nice to just quickly see the new cards revealed :)

Their revealed order was in alphabetical order by Clan. This is just alphabetical order from Oracle. Not a "big" deal, but truth in advertising and all that.

What other named personalities would be fighting for Yogo Junzo during this period?

Wonder if it is going to be Oni personalities or Personalities like Ashura and Voitagi? or both?

Considering Yogo Junzo's Army is in the same spot as the Dark Naga deck... I dunno if ol' Junzo's gonna be 20F-legal. I mean, he could be, theoretically, but I wouldn't hold my breath on it- he'd be built with the Siege mechanics in mind.

Maybe a Kuni Yori or Isawa Tsuke for you guys? Yakamo no Oni?

Well, I already hate the new Kachiko. And to think we only just got rid of her last pain in the arse version...

Other than that I'm really liking the way they implemented the flavour of the story into the card traits etc. Just hope that the Shadowlands side is as well realised (and that we get a nice personality we can use in 20f stuff).

I never got the Naga box, but I might just get this one.

There's also a Fu Leng card, so I'm ugessing that Junzo will be legal, but Fu Leng will not. Pure speculation, though.

I see two options:

these are all Kanpeki level cost cards, we might be seeing that the other clans get these new toys while spider players are expected to be satisfied with Kanpeki.

Or Yogo Junzo will be an unaligned card like CoM Kokujin where we could use it without heavy costs.

I hope it's the second one as having the other clans get toys only to be told we had to sacrifice a rare slot for Kanpeki would be anoying.

Either way, I can't wait for the game where I can have Kanpeki shatter the Jade hand with his very presence in my Yajinden deck. :twisted:

Kachiko is where Kumoru become useful because she is nasty.

And Tadaka is going to be scary.

More of the trend of shadowlands being a hopelessly bad keyword again. :roll: Maybe a Yogo Junzo card could help.

I would be hesitant to wager that anything out of the siege deck would be legal for normal play. It would either be too powerful for normal play, or under-powered for Siege play.

The Thunders may in fact be something for the other players. We did just get a new clan champ in this expansion. And the only clan to get a clan specific sensei in the expansion(something I wouldn't be surprised to see happen again in the next expansion or two).

aeg is stupid, but not that stupid. they'll include something for mantis and spider, despite there not being either during the time the game is set. it would cause too much bitching otherwise. even if the card is, as you say, bad in the siege part.

To be fair, Fosuta was just Kachiko with a goatee and a Baboon - She handed out tokens first, so it's more a throwback to her previous version than a rip-off of Fosuta.

I don't think any of the Siege-Deck will be 20F or Onyx legal, but I kinda don't care - This set still looks amazing, the idea is SO iconic to L5R it'll be great to play, and it still has more than a handful of great rares. I'd love to be wrong and surprised by Kuni Yori or some other murderer, but I don't think it'll happen.

i stand corrected. let it never be said that AEG didn't go out of its way to surprise me. ugh. i was going to buy this. it sounds fun. i want to buy this. but i don't like giving money to a company that treats my clan like its less than its fellows. i refuse to believe they couldn't have slapped a bug on Junzo without ruining the game.

I can understand not putting a bug on Junzo, we made similar decisions with the Naga Deck. But they could have just included an extra card in the box to give Spider a Personality.

So, just to be clear... the Scorpions (and everybody who can bring her out, we know, there are... ways to do it) got a - HR, 6GC Kachiko, who can decimate the Spider decks (ya know, Shadowland keyword - and our new theme is SL in whole Onyx, and historically abysmall chi on our personalities) nearly two whole arcs...
...and the Spiders got.... promises/nothing
Even the Mantis got Yoritomo (the clan who is not a clan with stronghold in Onyx...)
Yeaaaaaah... right
Seems fair (as usual) :evil:

(The Naga? Don't know... they played a major roll in the CW but at this point i don't even care)

The game still looks amazing. And comes with a lot of legal cards/rares. I'm not going to let it stop me that there isn't a Spider personality wedged into it.
